It was understandable that one day the Window would collapse, but not so quickly.Studies on the Windows were carried out in the 21st century. It resulted that the Window was stable and that it would survive for more years. However, stones continued to fall from the arch. Signs were put to stop people from going on top of the arch. Also, it was advised that boats should not pass under the arch of this window. It is believed that the Window collapsed around 9.40am of the 8th March 2017. As there are more attractions in the area, Dwejra is still visited by locals and tourists.
