I was very pleased and looking forward to visit places like Constance, Mainau Island, Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Freiburg and also the Europa Theme Park. Schwenningen Our base for the Black Forest holiday was a nice hotel in Schwenningen in Germany. It is a small and charming town with traditional buildings. The hotel was quite good, with some nice town views. It also offered a very good breakfast including home made pastry. The was also a very nice local street market Schwenningen which specialized in meat and flowers. From Black Forest to Strasbourg One of the longest distance that we had to travel, was to arrive to the French city of Strasbourg. On the way we had ta stop to visit the glass factory of Dorotheenhutte.Once we arrived in Strasbourg, we went around to visit some interesting landmarks such as the European Parliament and the Petite France. There are some parts which are only available for pedestrians. Strasbourg Constance and Mainau Island Constance is a town which is situated on the famous Lake Constance. This lake borders with Germany, Austria and Germany. The town centre is ideal for sightseeing. From there we crossed to the Botanical Island of Mainau. The main attraction over there is the Butterfly House. Butterfly House Stuttgart and the other town Stuttgart is a very nice place and also great for shopping. We visited the TV Tower where we enjoyed a splendid view of Stuttgart. This was followed by some shopping. These are other town that we visited in the Black Forest like Furtwangen, Triberg, Titisee and Freiburg. Each town has its own characteristics, food, gothic churches and cathedrals. We also visited the Rhine Falls and spent a full day at Europa Theme Park.
