The first edition of this cup was held in 1922 and this was won by a team called Vado. Juventus is the most successful team in this cup, followed by Roma. Juventus won the cup 13 times, while Roma won it 9 times. Juventus played a total of 19 finals, while Roma played 17 finals. The second edition which was scheduled in 1926-27 season had to be cancelled during the round of 32. There was a gap until the third edition which was held in season 1935-36. There was another stop during World War II (season 1942-1943), and it did not resume until 1958. Since then, the Coppa Italia
