What is wind? Wind is moving air and is brought about by contrasts in air pressure inside our environment. Air under high atmospheric pressure advances toward territories of low atmospheric pressure. The bigger the difference in between the high and low pressure, the faster the wind will blow. How can we describe the wind? The wind can be described using the speed of the wind and its direction. The direction of the wind is expressed as from the wind is blowing. Example westerly winds are those winds that blow from west to east. A medicane is a Mediterranean tropical-like cyclone. This is also the term used for Mediterranean hurricanes, hence the name Medi(terreanean) (hurri)cane. A one can easily understand this happends in teh Mediterranean Sea and impacts countries and islands such as Malta, Italy, Sicily, Algiers, Tunisia, Greece, Turkey and others.
