Holiday in Ayia Napa

This year was the fourth time I went for a holiday in Cyprus. My fourth time in the last six summers. The first trip in Cyprus was to Paphos and the second to Pissouri Bay. My third was to Ayia Napa. I liked it so much and so I returned last summer – for a holiday in Ayia Napa.

From Malta to Cyprus

We arrived at Malta International Airport early afternoon. We grabbed a snacked and headed to our gate well ahead of time. Once there, we were greeted with a free ice-cream. The time has come to board our Emirate plane with its fantastic crew and their excellent service. The entertainment provided made it so relaxing that you forget that you are on a plane. Ate, watched a movie and we were there,  at Larnaca airport.

After we collected our luggage, we met our representatives, who very politely led us to our taxi driver. In a hour we were in front of our hotel in Ayia Napa, Limanaki Beach Hotel.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very polite and helpful. The room was big with a long terrace and sunbeds, in order to enjoy the view. The buffet breakfast was very good, with a good choice of hot items, fruit and sweets. There is a very large pool, a gym and a restaurant.

This hotel is very close to a supermarket and also to a number of restaurants. It is a 2 minutes walk from the harbour (boat trips) and from a sandy beach. A big Luna Park is very close, about seven minutes walk.

Beaches

In Ayia Napa there are different nice beaches. Some are sandy and some are rocky. There are some very close to the hotel like Pantachou Beach, Limanaki Beach and Glyki Nero Beach. You will need to catch a bus or drive for the following beaches: Vathia Gonia, Pernera Beach, Makronissos Beach, Landa Beach and Nissi Beach. The most beautiful of them all is Nissi Beach (you can read more here about Nissi Beach).

WaterWorld

There is a very nice water park in Ayia Napa. It is one of the best water parks in Europe. It is easily reach by car or by bus (the bus stops there).
There are some 18 rides and attractions. The park also have other facilities like restaurants, lockers, toilets, a Go Kart circuit and a Fish Spa. It is a great way to spend a relaxing day. For more information read here.

Luna Park

This amusement park is idle for both kids and adults. This park was established 20 years ago, in 1999 and was named “Parko Paliatso”. It was a walking distance from our hotel. If you are staying far from here, you can catch a bus or drive. The park is very popular with locals and tourists. There are some twenty three attractions. More information

The food in Ayia Napa is very good. There are various restaurants in Ayia Napa. You need to see what you like or what you would like to try. During my stay, I are mezes everyday, alternating between fish and meat. If you want to know more about mezes, please click here.

Very close to the hotel, there was the harbour. It was packed with boats. Some of these boats are there on purpose to take tourists around. I went on a couple of them and enjoyed seeing nice views, underwater safari, a good number of sea caves, swimming in Blue lagoons. Some of this boat trips also have lunch included.

Should I consider for the nth time going for holiday in Cyprus and Ayia Napa?
