This office was established in 1789 and since then, 44 men have served as president. The first president was George Washington, and the current 45th president is Donald Trump.
The presidency of William Henry Harrison was the shortest one, as he died 31 days after taking office. On the other hand, Franklin D. Roosevelt served the longest one, over 12 years and this was interrupting after he died during his 4th term.
