Malta: No village feasts this summer? It seems that mass events in Malta will be banned this summer because of the current situation of the pandemic. This will have an impact on the local village feasts as we all know that such events gather a large number of people in the same place. The government still needs to meet the local Church authorities in order to discuss such matters but seems that it will insist that village feasts are not yet viable in the present situation. The church advised that indoor church events will be celebrated on their respective celebration days, as long as they comply with the measures that have been issued by the health authorities. With regards to the outdoor activities that are normally celebrated by the church, these will only be permitted where and when local Health Authorities will authorise such events. Let ‘s wait for the official news. When are the village feasts normally held? This is not the list of when the feasts will be held in Malta for this year, but here you can see in which months are these feasts normally held.
