You can reach this location either by car or by bus. There is a very large parking area at the very end of Marsalforn, close to the road that takes you to Xaghra.
There is a very small sandy beach (with also some small pebbles). All the other beaches in Marsalforn are rocky. There are a good number of restaurants with sew views where you can wind up and had a good dish.
There is an area which is safe for the local boats to berth. You can find a number of typical “Luzzu” in this area.

Salt pans

The salt pans in the Xwejni area, are not the only ones on the island. They stretch some three kilometers on the northern coast of Gozo. If you see them from above, it seems like a big checkboard.
These salt pans passed from one generation to another and are still in use. During the summer months, you can watch locals scraping the sea salt before they start the process in one of the adjacent caves.
During sunrise, there is an amazing view.
