Where is Nissi Beach?

Cyprus, being an island is surrounded by a good number of beaches, and some of them are particularly beautiful. The most beautiful beaches are found in Ayia Napa, with the best one being Nissi Beach.
The beach is some 5 minutes drive from the harbor and from the Luna Park. However, it is very close to the Water Park. There are also a number of shops, hotels and a good choice of restaurants in this area.

How to arrive to Nissi Beach?

If you are driving a car, you can set your GPS to look for the Nissi Beach Hotel, as it is next to this fantastic beach. If you are going by bus, you can catch buses 101 and 102. Bus 101 passes by the Luna Park too. It is very difficult to miss it.

What is unique is Nissi Beach?

This popular beach is sandy and has an islet next to it. The islet is accessible if you walk in shallow water from beach. The walk is about one minute long. You can walk your way to the top of this small islet.
The beach is 500m long and the water is crystal clear. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available on the beach (at a price). The beach has been awarded the blue flag designation.

How did this beach become popular?

Following live programs transmitted through BBC’s Radio 1 Roadshow, this beautiful beach became popular with Clubbers. This happened during the summer tourist season of 2002.
The bar found on this beach, is very popular with tourists and locals. Music is played throughout the day. Occasionally you can also attend a foam party.
Water sports is very popular and is available. Such sport includes windsurfing and water-skiing.
