What is this about?

Since I was a kid I always had a passion for Maltese History and also for old things that our ancestor had at those times. I always get carried away when I see old photographs or visit houses which are decorated with old Maltese things.

How did the Old Maltese Things start?

It all started thanks to Facebook. There are a number of groups where people upload old Maltese photographs. I came up with the idea – Why don’t we have a collection of Old Maltese Things?

I gave some time to myself to think about it. When I was convinced, I shared my idea on Facebook, and the response was quite good. I received photographs from people who saw my requests and I ended up with long chats with these people as they were very enthusiastic to help me out.

I have set a one month period for people to provide me with photographs. Soon after, I compiled all these photographs in a video clip and uploaded it on YouTube. Please click here to watch it.

The photographs that I received vary from telephone sets, irons, scales, television sets, teapots, vintage cars etc etc. I think the most popular were irons and teapots.

What is next?

I am already receiving more photographs. If I will have enough photographs, I will be more than happy to continue with a second video. I also received feedback and ideas to make videos on specific objects, example vintage cars.
