Why Las Vegas?

The decision has been taken. Our first stop for our honeymoon was Las Vegas. Departure from Malta to London Heathrow. From there a long flight to Los Angeles. And another flight to Las Vegas. We always wanted to go to the States, and Las Vegas is a unique destination with fabulous hotels, great entertainment and good relaxation. The food is laterally value for money.

The accommodation

The hotel for our six day stay was Aladdin Hotel, which was on The Strip. It was a very nice hotel, with big rooms. Our room had two king size beds, and a very large bathroom. As expected, a casino was at the entrance of the hotel. This hotel was also complimented with a big shopping mall and some good restaurants.
In 2007, the hotel was renamed to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino .

What to do in Las Vegas

There are infinite things to do in Vegas such as attending great shows, visiting a casino, going from one hotel to another and check their attractions. You can also take an excursion – in our case we went to the Grand Canyon with a small plane.

In additional we also visited a number of hotels, among others:

The Venetian Hotel

This is the most beautiful hotel in Vegas. It is a replica of Venice (Italy). There is Piazza San Marco, and one can also opt for a gondola ride. The Madame Tussauds wax museum is located in this hotel.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino

This hotel has been featured in movie Oceans Eleven. It is a very luxurious and posh hotel with famous fountains. The Cirque du Soleil show “O” is on site One can also enjoy a botanic garden and a fine art gallery whilst in this hotel.

The Mirage Hotel

The Mirage is famous for its replica lava-flowing Volcano, but not only. There is also a dolphin area and a wild animal habitat. It was the first time in my life where I saw a white tiger.

I highly recommend Las Vegas at least one visit in a lifetime.
